MondoMy love of baking stems from my college days.   My roommate, Cindi Baker (yes, that’s her real name), used to bake these great chocolate chip cookies and leave them for me on the kitchen table.  I would eat so many that I’d fall into a sugar coma…temporarily, of course.  After regaining consciousness, I would eat a dozen more and…well, you get the picture.  I was hooked!

After school, we went our separate ways and I was left to fend for myself.  Thus, it began.  I would meticulously create and recreate chocolate chip cookie recipes until I got it right.  Then I would recreate it again.  My friends would tell you I’m obsessed with cookies, but don’t ask them.  They’re sick of hearing me talk about it.  They just want to eat the cookies…not discuss their texture.

So there you have it.  I’m committed to making great cookies…not the fancy ones, but the ones like mom used to make-only better.
